New Study on Tart Cherry Juice

Have you checked out this study done with "tart cherry juice?"

Tart cherry juice relieved pain after exercise among both healthy runners and patients with fibromyalgia, according to two presentations at the 2009 Annual Meeting of American College of Sports Medicine. In the first study, 52 healthy runners participating in a 192-mile race either received the tart cherry juice or placebo. Those participants who received the tart cherry juice reported significantly less muscle pain than those who took the placebo.

In the second study, 14 women with fibromyalgia were assigned to drink the tart cherry juice or placebo. They then performed arm exercises for 10 days. The women who drank the tart cherry juice had significantly better muscle strength and a trend toward less pain.
